our story
The year is 2003. Prague’s very first bobsleigh track is just opening on Máchalka hill in the Prosek district. The enthusiasm and dedication of local enthusiasts is quickly turning what was once a forgotten and neglected ski resort into a popular attraction. Prosek Bobsleigh Track is becoming a legendary place where the people of Prague, tourists and thrill seekers flock to get their daily dose of adrenaline.
A ride on the bobsleigh track soon became synonymous with great fun and a unique experience. The speed, the bends and the wind in your hair all made for an experience you wanted to enjoy again and again. The bobsleigh track has been witness to plenty of joyful screams, laughter and even romantic moments.
However, as time went by, we realized that every great story needs fresh momentum if it is to remain as thrilling as it was in the beginning. During the 22 years we have been riding, we’ve listened to your suggestions, collected stories from visitors from all over the world and learned a lot about how to improve this unique attraction even further. We came to the conclusion that as well as needing to upgrade the bobsleigh track, it was also important to offer all generations the chance to experience something more. In 2022, a new chapter in the story began. Together with the Mayor of Prague 9 and renowned architects Martin Rajniš and Ondřej Fuchs, we began to envisage a grand dream – a new concept that would combine tradition and history with state-of-the-art technology and innovative ideas.
We are now about to embark on an adventure that will change the face of the Prosek Bobsleigh Track forever. We are preparing to completely renovate the complex, including an upgraded bobsleigh track – faster, higher and more amazing than ever before. And what’s more, you can look forward to a brand-new Alpine Coaster, kitted out with state-of-the-art technology, adaptive cruise control and safe induction brakes.
